Collected Chestnut Parlor

Brown floral drapery, beige paisley sheer, and tan basket texture for a collected American parlor.

Design Story

Collected rooms need pattern hierarchy more than matching sets.

Bouquet Brown leads the main working drapery, while Paisley Beige creates a lighter patterned layer close to the glass. Linen Basket Tan keeps the smaller Roman quiet, and Queen Taupe gives the room a second pattern only at a controlled distance from the window. Antiques and modern upholstery share the room because the palette, not the period, holds it together.

Palette Logic

50% chestnut and parchment, 25% brown floral, 15% taupe, 10% beige sheer and tan texture.

Chestnut, parchment, brown, taupe, beige, warm brass, and faded olive.

Fabric Palette

Four coordinated roles

The web article keeps the marketing story, then surfaces the technical fabric notes dealers need before recommending the look.

Bouquet Brown

Hero Working Drapery

Bouquet Brown

Bouquet Brown gives the parlor one clear floral lead against chestnut wood and parchment walls.

Material Note

110 in. width, 11.4 oz/sq yd, 100% Polyester. Repeat: 12.6 in. H x 12.6 in. V. Flat, Classic, Hobbled Roman shades are available. Review motif placement because shade construction can interrupt the pattern.

Paisley Beige

Patterned Inner Sheer

Paisley Beige

Paisley Beige sits closest to the glass as a lighter patterned layer. Keep the surrounding furniture quieter so the two window patterns remain intentional.

Material Note

110 in. width, 6.6 oz/sq yd, 100% Polyester. Repeat: 15.6 in. H x 12.6 in. V. Flat, Classic, Hobbled Roman shades are available. Roman shade use requires a liner. Review motif placement because shade construction can interrupt the pattern.

Linen Basket Tan

Quiet Secondary Roman

Linen Basket Tan

Linen Basket Tan is the small-scale counterweight on a secondary window.

Material Note

110 in. width, 11.6 oz/sq yd, 82% Polyester 18% viscose. Repeat: 1 in. H x 0.79 in. V. Flat, Classic, Hobbled Roman shades are available. Review motif placement because shade construction can interrupt the pattern.

Queen Taupe

Controlled Taupe Accent

Queen Taupe

Use Queen Taupe away from the main window in one small soft accent so its larger repeat supports the collected room without competing with Bouquet Brown.

Material Note

110 in. width, 9.2 oz/sq yd, 30% Cotton 70% Polyester. Repeat: 13.78 in. H x 17.3 in. V. Flat, Classic, Hobbled Roman shades are available. Review motif placement because shade construction can interrupt the pattern.

Dealer Script

Use Bouquet Brown as the hero drapery, keep the inner paisley light, and make the secondary Roman a small tan texture so the room feels collected rather than matched.
